Can we trust qnet
Answer from an anonymous user of QUORA:
I and few of my friends are engineers from top engineering colleges in the country. We work in Bangalore and keep looking out for investment opportunities around us. We agreed to look at Qnet because we wanted to make a quick buck in the next 2–3 years. When we first met these idiots, they promised us 3.6 Cr in the next 4 years. LOL.
We are IIT/NIT/ISB/IIM grads. We look at numbers and facts before making decisions. We were not going to be fooled by these clowns. We obviously knew that 3 Crs was bullshit but nevertheless, making at least 2 times our investment (~2.5 lakhs) seemed very much possible. Being there, done that I can give you a precise picture of the scenario.
Fact 1: Qnet has not yet been proved illegal but a lot of cases have been filed in the past by people accusing Qnet IRs of duping them and making false promises (make 5crs in 4 years.)
Fact 2: Some people do make money through Qnet. However the majority of people will not make anywhere close to what they have invested in the first 3–4 years. Plus, the ratio of people who invest in Qnet to the ones who actually make a profit will be around 30:1. And the reason for this horrible ratio is the fact that to make money in Qnet you will have to lose countless friends. This is why me and my friends collectively decided to quit this business for good.
Fact 3: The worst part about this is that it will be your friends who’ll come to you bearing the “Golden Opportunity” that they say Qnet is. To be honest, one of the reasons why I invested in Qnet was because my best friend literally begged me to do so. It was a huge MISTAKE. I am sure he had my best interest in mind when he pitched me this opportunity but unfortunately his brain has been washed beyond correction now(“This is what will make me a billionaire is how he puts it atleast”). It is not that I don’t want him to be a billionaire but the thing it isn’t this simple in the real world. Such schemes come and go. A handful make money at the cost of hundred others who are still waiting for their first cheque. There were multiple people in my company who had invested in this business and quit within no time.
Fact 4: All the senior members in the team (up lines) try to project as if they have arrived in life, but the truth is they’re struggling with their own life on meager earnings and barely manage to keep up with a lavish standard of living. A lot of these people have literally forced their family members to invest in this business.
When I invested in this business I was mentally prepared to lose this kind of money if I decided to. Unfortunately, not many people will be able to do so. I know people who make less than 25k a month and take up personal loans of up to 2 lakhs for this business. Poor fellows don’t even see through the fake lifestyle of these people. It really breaks my heart when I see these guys luring person after person in to this chain business.
Nevertheless, everyone makes mistake and if you have invested in Qnet and gone to their annual meet in Malaysia/Dubai you’ll know what kind of people to stay away from in life. You’ll get an idea of what people can be made to do if they’re brainwashed to this extent. And here we wonder how terrorists get ready to die for nothing.
